RDC LAUNCH THE CONSTRUCTION OF Kasenyi-mpirigwa road worth ugx 81 million.

The Resident District Commissioner Mityana District together with the leadership of Mityana District have today launched the construction of the Kasanyi - Mpirigwa road in Ssekanyonyi Town Council over 12 km worth Ugx 81 million under Routine Mechanized mentainance.
The Launch was presided over by the deputy RDC Mityana District John Bosco Lubyaayi Sseguya, the District Chairperson Patrick Mugisha Nshiimye, the Area Member of Parliament Richard Lumu, CAO who was represented by the Principal Assistant Secretary Golooba Isaac, and the locals at Kisangani village Kyetume Ward Ssekanyonyi Town Council.
RDC Lubyaayi while officiating the launch of the construction works thanked the government and the president of Uganda for putting up the aspect of social-economic transformation.
Lubyaayi added that after learning that parents don’t want to take their children to schools yet the schools are available in the area, they are going to start making operations to look for the children who don’t go to school and also to arrest the people who are using young children in their gardens.
The area member of parliament Richard Lumu urged residents not to interfere with the works of the Engineers who are going to construct the road and asked the residents to give part of their land so that they can widen the road.
Mityana District Engineer Jack Katende said that they want the road width of 8 meters so that they can widen the road and asked residents who have their property in the road reserves to remove them before they start the work. Engineer Katende added that the road has 12 km and it is going to cost them Ugx 81 Million and they are going to put Maram in the spotted areas.
Mityana District Chairperson Patrick Mugisha Nshiimye asked residents not to wait for the district engineer to come back and maintain the road but they can also be maintaining the road so that the road can last for a long period of time.
The CAO who was represented by the PAS Golooba Isaac called on residents in Mityana district to embrace all the work that is done by the district and suggested that they are planning to see that money for the road gangs be given to the chairmen so that they can put on the people they know to look after their roads.
