RDC Launch the construction of Nakwaya - Kabulamuliro Road worth 75 million.

Mityana Resident District commissioner has today launched the construction of Nakwaya – Kabulamuliro road 7.8km worth 75 million Uganda Shillings.
The launching was presided over by the community members, chairperson Kikandwa sub county and the district executive members and the launch was held at Kabulamuliro trading centre.
While launching the road the RDC Mr Drake Joseph Mukiibi thanked the government for providing funds for making roads in the district and he said that as the office of the RDC their main role is to supervise the works that are done and if they find when the work is not good, they have to tell the engineer to repeat the work on his coasts.

RDC went further to ask residents and leaders at the village level to monitor the works that are going to be done so that they show value for money on their road.
Mr Mukiibi asked residents to use well the road and use it to0 transport their products to the markets he added that when the make such roads they help in connecting to other roads to ease transport and movements in the area.

The area member of Parliament of Mityana North Hon Nsegumire Kibedi Mohhamed thanked the RDC and the government for the good leadership and he asked the district engineer to give them the best compared to the money they have put on the road.
He called on all residents to come in big numbers and participate in the local council one elections and he said that they want the NRM party to win all the LCs in the constituency.

Mityana district engineer Jack Katende while giving his remarks he said that they are going to do routine mechanised maintenance road whereby they are going to start with bush clearing and widening the road 8 km in the first phase then they will grade the road and compact it and in phase two they will put Maram on two kms and also put culverts in the places that the residents will decide.
Engineer Jack said that they are going to use 75 million on the road and they expect to work for two weeks and hand over the road.

Ssenyonjo Huzaifa the sub county chairperson thanked the district for starting with Kikandwa sub county in this financial year and he said that as the sub county they are going to follow up the works and he said that even the road committe they have selected is going to help them to see that what is done is of good quality.
